Morsing
The morsing is a small wind percussion instrument used in the Carnatic style of music. While playing this tiny instrument, the prongs are pressed against the upper and lower teeth. It is held in the left hand and the right index finger plucks the metal tongue. The tone and timbre are adjusted by changing the shape of the mouth and moving the tongue. Like the mridangam, the morsing is tuned to the tonic, which means you have to have one for each sruti.
