Post-Trinity Composers
The post-trinity composers consist of the Indian composers who lived from the 19th to 20th century after the time of the Trinity Composers (Thyagaraja, Muthuswami Dikshitar and Syama Shastri).
Subbarama Dikshitar
Subbarama Dikshitar (1839-1906) was a famous musicologist who played a major role in Indian music. His work was the basis of what composers use today. Periyasami Tooran composed songs in abundance with over six hundred songs ranging on topics including moral, spiritual, and national issues. He is credited for creating the first Children's Encyclopedia in Tamil. Major universities in India as well as writing associations use his works.

M. M. Dhandapani Desikar
M. M. Dhandapani Desikar (1908-1972) could easily reach all of the octaves with a rich voice and was in demand for this reason. He specialized in Tamil kritis and made appearances on several films. He was the professor and Head of the Department of Music at the Univerisity of Annamalai. He is known for his book on music and language called Isai Tamizh Paamalai. Follow this link to hear M.M.
